Keep Oklahoma Beautiful is fostering community partnerships and supporting local owned nurseries and businesses through the Keep Route 66 Beautiful Grant opportunity. Not only does this support our local people the recipients must use sustainable practices and minimize harm to native wildlife ensuring ecologically responsible landscaping.
Pollinator Plot Grant Overview
Grant Value: Approximately $1,500
What’s Included:
A 10'x10' plot of native Oklahoma plants to attract local pollinators
Plants and planting supplies like mulch and stakes
Volunteer training
A custom metal sign recognizing sponsors
Coordination with Okies for Monarchs, local nurseries, and suppliers to ensure all funds support your community

Who is eligible?
Pollinator Plot must be within 25 miles of Route 66 and recipients should have a strong tie to the history of Route 66.
What materials are covered?
Grant funding is available for planting supplies, volunteer training, and signage.
What plants are eligible?
This grant is specifically for plants native to Oklahoma. Thankfully Oklahoma has some of the highest diversity of plant species found in the United States so there are thousands of options!

Applications Open: July 1, 2025 - July 31, 2026
Recipients Notified: Ongoing
Pollinator Plot Planting: Ongoing - Spring & Fall
Final Report Due: Within 30 days of planting

Centennial Grove Tree Planting Grant Opportunity
Grant Overview:
Grant Value: Approximately $2,500
What’s Included:
Five (5) Caddo Sugar Maple Trees
Tree staking poles and mulch
Volunteer training
A custom metal sign recognizing sponsors
Coordination with local nurseries and suppliers to ensure all funds support your community
Recipient Responsibilities:
Recruit volunteers for planting, watering, and maintenance
Submit a 3-year maintenance plan
Secure permission from the property owner (city, business, or private)
Coordinate utility marking and ensure tree location clears powerlines
Pick up trees and supplies, and attend a training session at your local nursery
Complete a brief report detailing the tree planting event and its impact
Applications Open: July 1 – September 1, 2025
Recipients Notified: September 15, 2025
Tree Planting: October 2025
Final Report Due: November 30, 2025

Come see us and learn about native plants at the second Native Plant Fall Festival, hosted at the Oklahoma county extension office. Put on by the Oklahoma Native Plant Network this event is geared towards all ages with food trucks and activities for the kids as well as informational talks by industry leaders, retail booths, etc.
